EDA president Steve Liakos would like to extend the Board’s thanks to Senator Mike Duffy for making 2009’s “Fall Supper” a night to remember!

Senator Duffy spoke passionately about the Conservative Party of Canada – both past and present.

Special guests included Laureen Harper, Heather Duffy, Fredericton MP Keith Ashfield, Ottawa mayor Larry O’Brien and his wife Colleen, and of course the Honourable Gordon O’Connor and his wife Carol.

The event was MC’d by our Communications Director, Matt Muirhead and was held at the Kanata Holiday Inn on Kanata Avenue. Our thanks to the Holiday Inn team for the professional service and delightful meal.

Senator Duffy topped the evening off with his own “stand-up” routine and everyone in attendance came away smiling.

Our Riding Association is pleased to invite you to attend our 5th Annual Fall Supper which takes place on Thursday October 29th, 2009.  A cash bar will be open at 6pm and dinner will be served at approximately 7:15pm.

This year our guest speaker is Senator Mike Duffy.  Our MP, the Honourable Gordon O’Connor will also be in attendance and we expect to have other MPs/Ministers/Senators join us as well.

Dinner includes balsamic glazed chicken with caramelized onions and roasted red pepper sauce, mini red potatoes, a medley of steamed vegetables, fresh baked rolls, crudites and dip, roasted tomato and gin bisque, market fresh greens with sliced strawberries  and a chocolate ganache and apricot torte with English cream and freshly brewed coffee.

Ticket prices are $125 each and a tax receipt will be issued for a portion of the ticket price.

The event is taking place at the Holiday Inn Select in Kanata, located at 101 Kanata Ave. in Ottawa Ontario (at intersection of Highway 417 and Kanata Ave.)
