Volunteers

We are grateful to all our volunteers and donors. Without them, the Association would not exist and our candidate would not be elected.

If you are interested in volunteering for the local Electoral District Association, please contact us at conservative@carleton-mississippimills.ca .

The Carleton-Mississippi Mills Conservative Association is deeply appreciative of the members who volunteered their valuable time to help with our fall 2005 fund raising campaign, which was, again, very successful. With these funds we are mounting a strong campaign to keep our party in power after the next election.

Donations from members are the lifeblood of our organization and members who volunteer are the heart of our organization. We extend a heartfelt thank you to all of those who donated and all of those who worked the phones.

Volunteers are the backbone of our Association. We rely on volunteers for the succesful and effective operation of, virtually, every aspect of our organization. Whether we are getting out a mass mailing to our members, hosting an event, conducting a fundraising campaign, or running an election campaign, we need volunteers.

Like most non-profit, volunteer based organizations, we can always use more people to pitch in and help. We know how busy people are these days, so we don’t expect our members to make burdensome time commitments. However, we do ask that anyone who can contribute some volunteer time on an occasional basis, to please add your name to our volunteer list. Following is a list of jobs for which we, periodically, require volunteers.

  1. Telephone Calling – If you are comfortable talking to people on the telephone, perhaps you would consider becoming a regular phone caller to help with our membership or fundraising drives and our effort to Get Out The Vote (GOTV).
  2. Fundraising – We welcome people with fundraising experience to assist with developing new ideas to raise funds for the Association and to help during fundraising events/campaigns.
  3. Events – Help with the organization and running of special events hosted by the Association.
  4. Election – a lot of help is required during an election campaign, including organizing, telephoning, door-to-door canvassing, get out the vote activities, poll scrutineers, poll captains, etc.
