Once again it is time to mark your calendar for another special event. The Association will be hosting a Sunrise Special Breakfast at the Superior Restaurant in Almonte for our MP, Gordon O’Connor. The event will take place on Saturday June 9th from 830 am to 11 am.
The breakfast will be sure to please even those with the heartiest appetites. The Honourable Gordon O’Connor will be there to say a few words and we expect to have a special guest entertainer stop by.
The event cost will be a very reasonable $12 which covers everything. Note that with the low cost, there will be no tax receipt issued for this event. Seating will be limited to 90 people so please book your spot in advance by calling us at 613-592-9550 or emailing us at conservative@carleton-mississippimills.ca .
The Superior Restaurant is located at 84 Mills St. in Almonte. Below is a map with the location marked.

On a very windy Saturday May 5th, our EDA took part in the Glencairn Community Association “Kanata South Days” event at Hazeldean Mall.
Several of our board members and volunteers took part by handing out helium filled balloons and lollipops to the children. All those who visited our booth had the chance to sign a note that will be sent off to our troops to show them the support they have from our riding. There was also a free entry raffle for a beautiful Mother’s Day goody bag full of great items for mom valued at over $150.
But the big highlight of the day was when our MP, the Honourable Gordon O’Connor, was piped in by the Legion band as seen in the photo.
The Fireside Chat we held on April 10th at the Harvester House was a complete success. We had almost 100 people attend the event and all were treated to a great spaghetti dinner cooked up by Andy, the owner of Harvester House and some great desserts hand made by Andy’s mom.
Our MP, the Honourable Gordon O’Connor, entertained all with a light informative speech outlining the state of affairs in parliament. When all was said and done, the EDA collected almost 200 lbs of food for the Kanata Food Cupboard and we managed to provide them with an additional stock of jam and juiceboxes, two items they desperately needed.
We want to thank everyone who attended this successful event and we look forward to seeing you all at our next event.
