2007 Annual General Meeting

The date, time and location for our 2007 Annual General Meeting (AGM) is set. This is the chance for you to come out and help determine who is on our Board of Directors and to hear how we did last year.

We are looking forward to hearing from MP for Nepean-Carleton, Pierre Poilievre as well as getting an update and some words of encouragement from our MP, Gordon O ’ Connor. Refreshments will also be served.

We look forward to seeing you all there.

NOTE: The Conservative Party of Canada requires that participation in any meeting of the Association is subject to a minimum membership period of twenty-one (21) days. Therefore, in order to attend the AGM, your CPC membership must be active as of Jan. 4, 2007.

Exceptionally, the CPC has recently granted a 30 day grace period for certain 2007 membership renewals such that these memberships will be considered not to have lapsed.

*** The grace period applies only to membership renewals received at the National Office on or before January 31, 2007 provided that the renewing member also had an active membership in 2006.***

Members meeting the above conditions can also participate at the AGM.

If you meet this requirement, you will not need your membership card to attend the AGM, since a list of active CPC members in our riding association will be available at the meeting. However, as required by CPC policy, please remember to bring along 2 pieces of official ID (one being a photo ID) if requested for accreditation purposes. (The returning officer may waive this requirement on a case by case basis where exceptional circumstances exist.)

Date: Thursday January 25th, 2007

Time: 7pm EST

Location: Stittsville Legion (1481 Main Street in Stittsville)

Below is a map. The green arrow indicates approximately where the Legion is.

Membership Card Information

Many members of our riding association took the opportunity to renew their Conservative Party of Canada memberships during our fall membership and fundraising campaign, and these memberships have been expeditiously processed.

If your membership was processed by the national office in October, your new membership card should have been mailed to you in December.

If your membership was processed between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31, 2006, the national office has advised us that these membership cards will be mailed out by Jan. 30, 2007. This additional time is due to the higher volume of processing at year end, including the issuance of tax receipts for donations made to the national office. Please allow up to 2 weeks for mail delivery.

If you have any questions about your membership status, please Contact Us.
